Deeply moving retreat with Dawn

“I joined Dawn’s retreat in Taos, New Mexico. It was the perfect balance of culture, nature, and mindfulness. We hiked through landscapes steeped in history and culture—exploring sagebrush-lined ridges, historic roads, and ancient pueblos. Other highlights included a full moon Native American dance ceremony led by the Taos Pueblo tribe, morning journaling, and an immersive yoga nidra session in a yurt led by Dawn where I felt as though I left my body. That experience was so powerful that I even arranged a follow-up session over Zoom and invited my mother-in-law. I left Taos feeling refreshed and truly alive. Dawn’s brilliant mind and calming presence made all the difference—I can’t wait to travel with her again.”

“The (retreat in Taos) was not a retreat I would normally attend. But I was struggling. I was struggling in my marriage, I was struggling with my kids and their mental health issues, and I needed a reset. When I heard about this retreat from a friend, I said "why not - it couldn't hurt." During the quiet times, during yoga, during times of reflection, I let myself feel. I let myself fall apart and cry - in front of people no less. That is not something I normally would do, but it felt like such a safe space and was what I needed. I needed to reflect inward and allow myself to feel all of the feelings. So the” why not, it couldn't hurt” turned out to be exactly what I needed.
